The roots of meyhane culture trace back to the Byzantine Empire and have persevered throughout the years in Istanbul and other coastal cities. These establishments were known for serving alcoholic beverages alongside an array of meze, tapas, and other authentic dishes.
Inspiration & application
Inspired by the cultural heritage of Anatolia, Meyhanè embraces the intricate decorative patterns and ornaments found in Iznik dishes and tiles.

These unique elements are thoughtfully incorporated into the restaurant’s design, serving as a monochrome extension that pays homage to its origins.
